    Finally Got WaMu!

And it only took took 4 times to get it, lol! Just $1,000 limit, but 0 fee and 0% interest for 6 months, instant online approval. I thought I would never get this card, as it was the last of the best well known bk friendly cards. So time to cancel hooters, no reason to keep that 28% pos.

I've narrowed down to these cards:

    WaMu $1,000 - 0 fee - 0% intro - 9.9% fixed
    JFCU Visa Platinum $7,500 - 0 fee - 7.5% fixed
    Circuit City Platinum $5,000 - 0 fee - 0% intro - 19.9% fixed
    Cap One Platinum - $500 - $19 fee - 14.9% interest.
-This is the card I use to buy everything on and pif monthly. Sticking with it so I can hopefully get a better Cap One card later on.

    And cancelled these horrible cards:

Hooters - 28% interest (yeah right)
    Target - 22% interest
    Juniper - 22% interest + $39 annual fee
    Household - 19.9% + $59 annual fee
    Orchard - 19.9% + $59 annual fee

Not too shabby eh? At this point I think I'm content enough to stick with what I have for awhile.

    Got the welcome packet today...

I got the welcome packet for the wamu mastercard, and they gave me an application for the visa! Then I got declined for it online lol. Too bad since the visa offer was 0% interest until 08.

One really cool thing tho, is free fico scores when you logon to your online account access. I believe they are myfico.com scores too. I will post on it later once I try it all out.

Forget about hooters & all the other bk friendly cards, wamu is the best I've encountered so far!

Mostly just lucky I think, but I'll take it either way. Are you the one sinking that got this card along time ago? Have you used the free credit score thing yet? My online access isn't registered yet but I'm looking forward to the score thing...

Nope! Not I, FOMO. We don't have a WaMu.

I did try NascarFan's strategy. We started working on cleaning up Credit Reports right after our 341. Been using True Credit and did Online Disputes with TU and EX.

EX is cleaned up. TU is only showing 1 CC left with a balance on Hubby. Several CC's fell off both of our Reports as if they never existed just from disputes.

Have to write to EQ. Didn't wanna go there until we physically were Discharged. Will probably get to that after the Holidays are over.

Scores for TU and EX have jumped nearly 100 pts. We're almost back to pre BK scoring. We were 680 last January. Back up to 660's from mid 500's right out of BK. Not too bad.

It might have been staci or pink then that got this card awhile ago, and thats how I learned about it. You probably qualify being your scores are so good already.

Depends on which CRA they pull. If they pull EQ, we're screwed.

That's the one we haven't worked on yet.

                    They pull exclusively TU.

                      Got the Card

Got the card, a day after christmas lol. I wanted to get it before for obvious reasons, but maybe its a good thing I didn't? Guess I'll just cut up the card and perhaps take advantage of the 0% with the convenience checks. A free loan is a free loan right?

I signed up for the online access to try and get the free fico scores, but it appears that you have to wait a couple billing cycles before you get the free fico scoring

No such thing as a free loan. I've never seen a convenience check or balance transfer that didn't come with a fee. On top of that, the 0% interest can change to 29%+ overnight for no reason at all. The CC company can wake up one morning and decide to jack your rate. The best thing you can do is pay the balance off.

My WaMu card posted a FICO score the first billing cycle. Maybe you should call them to see if it isn't available on your card or if there's a problem.

I could care less about the 3% transfer fee or the possibility of 29% interest. My credit union has a 10 month special on a 10% apr CD. If they want to jack me to 29% for no reason, I will pay off the card and close the account so fast it will make their head spin.

It did say it can take 2-4 weeks for new accounts to post fico scores. I'll logon later and check up on it.

Yeah they did that to me 3 times before I got it. I'm pretty sure they are still doing a soft pull at the least, instead of a hard pull which will show as an inquiry.
