Wow my scores are really good considering...

Considering I was just Discharged on 11/27 and Closed on December 15th.
My Equifax is 655;My TransUnion is 629 and my Experian was 569 but that's only because so many accounts were reporting incorrectly. So I did a dispute online for all those accounts that were wrong. When they come back corrected my scores should go up a little.I am very happy with what I see.
So do you think my scores are descent considering??
    Thanks.
    Donna

My scores from two of the outfits are also in the low 600's, but Myfico reports an average of 520 while all others are 620, and after checking with a mortgage broker friend this morning - they see an average of around 520.

I'd definately check myfico.com first, those have always seemed to be much more accurate than the others.

MyFico is the company that created the FICO score, so they would be the most reliable source for knowing your FICO score.

Just realize, there are other scoring matrix's out there.

Yup, I was all excited about my credit scores too (from truecredit.com) until I ran them at myfico.com - my TU was off by over 100 points. <<deleted inaccurate information>>

It was a real bummer - but at least I had an accurate picture of where I really was.

OK my Equifax was 629 and my Trans Union is 655.I just checked my Equifax score on My Fico.com and it was 601.
Not too big a difference.Certainly alot closer than 100pts off! Wow.I'm so glad it stayed in the 600 range.I'd really like to check my other two scores but it's expensive!!
          Thanks for the tip.

That's great Donna!!!! My EQ was only off by a few points too (and it was actually a few points higher than Truecredit said, same with EX), it was the TransUnion score that was off by 100+ points (lower)- I was stunned and really disappointed.

And yes, it's very expensive to buy the scores from myfico - I did it once and probably won't do it again for a year.

The fact that you are in the 600 range is a great place to start - and shows that you probably have a long credit history - with some positive accounts that were paid off in the past still showing prior to your BK!

            Great news, happy for you!

Oh no Bk'd Betty.I couldn't just leave it alone while I was ahead and happy about my Equifax score,No.I just had to pay and get my Trans Union Fico score. It was worse than I could have imagined.True credit shows it at 655 and My Fico say's,are your ready for this? 530!!! That's 125 points BELOW my Fako score. That's just terrible and I could kick myself for paying the money to find out.
I didn't think it'd be good but I didn't think it would be that bad either.

Oh Donna! Big virtual hug for you!

I know EXACTLY how you feel right now - mine was the same - it was ugly!

But here is the good news - TU is the easiest, by far (in my experience) to dispute with.

I have had my BK 7 and my foreclosure REMOVED from TU without even trying - I disputed the information as being inaccurate - asked them to make it accurate and instead, they just deleted from my report - poof - gone - like it was never there! (I haven't purchased fico's since, so I don't know what it did to my scores yet)

So, while it may look dismal - your TU score may be the easiest to raise with a little bit of disputing.

                YMMV! Good luck!!!!

Thanks Bk'd Betty for the words of encouragement.I guess I jumped the gun and got excited too soon. It's still nice to see Equifax in the 600 range.I have been online all morning disputing my credit reports that I got from True Credit.I'm sure once I'm done it'll help my scores.I definitely won't get them again for another year.
                  Too expensive and too depressing.
I have some baddies falling off this May/June/July/August so that should also help alot.
                  Thanks again.
