Any other at home moms here who've re-established? How'd you do it? I'm not able to get anything in my name only since I have no income. I can be added as an authorized user to my husband's account but is there any other way? I'm sure I'm missing the obvious here.

DG,.............. I just applied for an Orchard Card. Unsecured. From a pre-Approved offer I got in the mail. Orchard asked for employment info. I just said I was "Self Employed". Took a portion of Hubby's pay as "my income" and reported the total Household Income correctly.
Being a SAHM didn't stop CapOne from approving me either.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

I recently applied for a capital one card and was approved.
Capital One asks for HOUSEHOLD income.
Look for the cards that say Household income, that way you're not lying on the application. As far as job goes...as someone said before, put self employed. Besides, being a SAHM is a full time job, you just don't get paid for it.

Yep I did the same thing.....since I sell my scrapbook pages I make on eBay (and other stuff) I say I'm self employed....of course hubby's income takes care of everything and mine is just play money.Originally posted by SinkingFast View PostDG,.............. I don't know what the SAHM's do about that, but lots of people don't have work phones. Listing nothing under work # would probably work.DISCLAIMER: I am not an attorney. I list my cell phone or home phone. Depends on my mood. Either way works. Cause if you're self employed, it's not uncommon for you to work out of your home.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

Thanks again all! I applied for the WaMu card but haven't received an answer yet. I'm guessing one of the hold ups will be that we have fraud alerts on our credit reports. I think they have to call me to verify that I applied for it, or something like that. I hope we can get this one. We've banked with WaMu for 3 years now with no problems. It's been 2 1/2 years since we were discharged (Chapter 7).
We'll see.....Yo ho, Yo ho, a pirates life for me
