    Another "Hooters" Story

As some of you may know, I've turned credit rebuilding into somewhat of a hobby, lol.

I cancelled hooters after a couple months because of the high % rate (27%) and low limit (900). I called first before I decided to cancel it, and tried to negotiate a better % rate and credit limit. I was told that the terms of the hooters card are 'non-negotiable'. So I cancelled.

Here I am last week, getting bored and running out of new cards to apply for. I decided to reapply for hooters for laughs, just to see what would happen.

The 'new' hooters card arrived today, with a $3250 limit and 18% interest rate.

Just in case anyone wants to know how to triple their limits and slash the interest rates. It actually works, to leave and comeback later.

    That's very interesting!

How long did you wait to re-apply after cancelling? Are they still pulling TU?

Now THAT is what I'd truly call a 'rebuilder card!! Way to go, FOMO!

Nice, I'll keep that in mind if I ever get approved for a HOOTERS card

Yeah, Hooters is funny - they only gave me $300 credit line - but at the time - I was glad to get it. I've seen people with scores well below mine get like $5,000.

They'll be gone when it's time to renew.

I'm not exactly sure how long, roughly 4-6 months maybe? And yes they still pulled TU.

No, both were $0 annual fee. I have heard of some having an annual fee, but I'm pretty sure the vast majority have no annual fee. I wouldn't accept any card with an annual fee after being a couple months post discharge myself.

I got declined by hooters. I did however just get a Capital One card with a 300.00 balance. I plan not to use it and let it sit on my credit report.

Nice hobby you have. You do know each inquiry is a potential ding on your FICO? And it can cause red flags down the road when your applying for a larger priced item?

Not to worry trade wiz. I already have more credit than I need with nothing large to buy in the foreseeable future.
