I have very few inaccuracies on my credit report so I haven't disputed anything yet. 2 weeks ago I had an account show up as "90 days past due" on the TU report only. My score has dropped from 620 to 586!! Can someone give me advice on how to dispute the TU report? The amount was only $300 or so, but it was IIB, ch 7. Thanks for your help.

Transunion dispute

The best thing to do if you included this item in your BK is to dispute it online with Transunion. If you give them your BK case number and the date that you were discharged they should change the item to IIB. Someyimes this could take a while to happen so be prepared for that. My Verizon bill that I has was included, but even after discharge My Experian was still showing it as a collection item. It took me (no lie) 4 months Disputing the account with Experian (which by the way you can only do once. Once you dispute and the creditor vailidates the debt you cannot dispute the item again), and calling Verizon to get it changed! But keep at it, miscommunications between the CRAs and Creditors happen. Now as far as getting completely removed from you CR, in my case I had 2 items on all three of my reports that were $175 & $247 once I was dscharged they were removed from my reports. But first things first get that item changed to IIB. This should work for you, in my experience, it worked for me. Just keep at it.Originally posted by Brendon View PostI have very few inaccuracies on my credit report so I haven't disputed anything yet. 2 weeks ago I had an account show up as "90 days past due" on the TU report only.
