    Tru Credit vs EX?

Maybe this has been posted before - I can't recall. When I go to the EX site my 'score' is 652. But when I pull my 3-bureau report from True Credit, it shows my EX score as 569. Anyone kow why this difference?

    There are 2 main reasons

1-There are some creditors that do not report to all 3 CRA's

2-Between the 3 "major" CRA's, they all use different fromulas to calulate your score.

Also rememner that the scores that you get from the "BIG 3" means nothing compaired to the FICO score.
    My credit scores:
Before Filing: Tr 496, Ex 496, Eq 507

    Today: Tr 618 (+122), Ex 601 (+105), Eq 623 (+116)

Yes, I agree, and I do see that in the accounts and activity listed between them. Thus, the 'basis' for each one's scoring model is different.

True. However, if TC pulls my data from EX & EQ I would expect them to be getting the same report data I get. By your answer, it seems TC may be 'recalculating' the score using TC's model against EX's account/activity - that's NOT what I'm paying for!!

That's not what I said...Truecredit is just relaying the information the other 2 provide to them...They still each use thier own formulas to calcilate your score.

OK - so how/why is my 652 EX (direct) changed to 569 EX when viewed through True Credit?

You're talking about 'fako' scores not fico scores. They are not accurate.

Again, Truecredit is only passing on what they are given. Think about it, If you were Experian, why would you pass complete information on to another comapny so they can make money you are not getting. My advise if you want accurate scores from the "Big 3" Then pay each of them. The best thing to do however is go to MyFICO.com. and buy the scores that most creditors actually look at.

They probably figure that if they all can set up one-stop shops, people would like it (and thus pay money for it) more than having to go to each bureau and buying their reports separately. To be fair to each other, they could charge each other for the use of their data.
