Okay I am in the rebuilding stages I am still disputing just to get everything right BUT I have applied. I was declined a unsecured card but was offered the secured Hooters card issued through Merrick.

Does anyone know if they report as a secured card?

Also after a year will the card switch over to unsecured?

May I suggest First National Bank of Omaha for a securied card. The only cost is $20/year, and the opening deposit is $500.
They report monthly to all three CRAs, but the card is reported as securied.

I tried looking them up but couldn't find a link for an actual secured card but hooters charges $36 per year and the rate is 20%
