I'm in the process of cleaning up my credit reports and I have a few questions regarding the statements on my reports.
1) TransUnion reports my IIB accounts as "Chapter 7 bankruptcy". Is this correct or should it say something to the effect that it is/was discharged in bk?
2) Do the High balance, terms, Limit, etc areas have any affect on my scores? If so, obviously I want to dispute those right?
3) Another thing in regards to type... I have some accounts that are listed as "Unknown - credit extension, review, or collection" when they are actually a credit card. Can I/Should I dispute this?
Finally, 4) I disputed an old credit card that was showing some lates. It came back verified but now shows it's 30 days late. This card has been paid off for years and is scheduled to drop off in December. How do I address this... dispute again? Send a letter to the creditor threatening legal action? Sue?
Thanks!
