I have a question! We are waiting for discharge arond the middle of June (praying) for ch 7. I have a cc that has 0 balance and was not listed on my schedules. The online info is still showing a credit limit of 18,000. It is with US bank. Does anyone have any thoughts if they will eventually yank the card from me? I a planning to use it for a small candle business to order from company while customers checks are clearing. I will pay it off online before the bill arrives. Would this help to build my credit at all assuming they do not yank!! Any thoughts? Do you think they will close, lower my credit limit, etc?? I am not planning to use until discharge, will use my debit. Just thought it may be a consistent flow of $ to reest some payment history.

I had one $0 balance CC survive BK. They did lower my limit.
If US Bank lowers your limit or closes the acct, you should get a letter in the mail.
Since you've still got about a month to go, I'd wait and see what happens between now and Discharge. We had one close our acct about mid way thru the Objections period.
If nothing happens,........... The acct is still showing good on True Credit, or whatever monitoring service you use,......... And you don't get some sort of letter from US Bank in the mean time,............. Maybe try using it first for a small local purchase. Something you planned to pay cash for and can pay the bill in full when it comes just to see if the CC works or gets rejected.
My SIL has her own small business. Interior Decorating. She's just gone thru rewriting her service contract to limit customers to 90 days. She has one client that's been dragging the project out for over a year now. To the tune of 8% interest on SIL's Discover Card. SIL has lost most of her profit on that one job to CC interest. From SIL's experience, I wouldn't recommend charging business debt on a CC. Get paid up front or have your own stash of cash to fund the first round of orders.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

US Bank is known to be extremely stingy/tight with their lending practices. If I were you, I would be fully prepared for them to close the account on their own accord. If it helps, you could pull your reports and look at the soft pulls to see how often they are monitoring your credit. This will give you a better idea of when to expect action if it occurs.
