    Discover Card Anyone?

Okay...haven't even opened it up yet...but I have in my hot little hand, a pre-approved Discover card solicitation.

I do believe "D" is from Sears? Which I had YEARS ago, probably a -0- on my credit rap sheet....I also did have the Discover years ago as well.

I don't really need it...but should I ? (just for the heck of it)

Don't get credit "just for the heck of it." This is just my opinion.

Get credit purposefully: to help rebuild your credit and to improve your FICO score. This is part of being responsible for credit.

I wouldn't go for pre-approved solicitation offers. They're giving you an offer you either accept or don't. I'd much rather go to them and see what they can offer me or! I take my business elsewhere.

I hear ya! I've got Hooters, HSBC & a Racetrack for gas...Will be hopefully taking my Xmas $ and paying off two of them in full.

I have no idea whatsoever what my FICO score is....if I could find out for free great, otherwise, it's obviously not too bad because I have good limits & no issues. Going to get rid of the Hooters as it's 29% interest & $72/year...but it was my "first" cc out of my bk so....I'll get over it!

You won't get your FICO score for free, I can tell you that.

One way you might be able to is if you apply for a loan and then ask them what the number is. Otherwise, your FICO score is a product of Fair Isaac. They know you want that information so they'll be more than happy to sell it to ya!

It's good to know, atleast once a year.
