corporate american express questions

I already have a small business AMEX received basedon my wife's ss# yet they wouldnt give me am addl card on her personal card. From what I'm reading if I took this job they would likely deny me a large corp. card yet I can have a small business card. Also wonder of the employer is told the EXACT reason for the decline ?

My hubby works for a large corporation and he was able to get a corporate AMEX card in 2005 after we filed, but before we were discharged. We didn't have an AMEX card when we filed, if that makes a difference.

I'm curious as well whether the employer is told the exact reason for the decline. Does anyone have any experience with this? I may be needing a corporate card for travel and my bank is going to start using Amex. I guess if I get turned down i could always set up a secured card and use it for business entertainment.........
