A couple of weeks ago, I applied online for a Cap One card to see if they'd approve me. Got the standard "we'll be in touch" message, so I thought that was that. Well, after having to send in proof of ID (copy of SS card and DL, most likely because I have an active fraud alert), I was approved for a small CL of $300 at 0% through Feb 2009, changing to 8.9% March 1! Thank you, Capital One!

Congrats, by the time the 0% offer is over your CL will have grown. I hear Cap One is good about giving credit increases.

That is great! We also got that same Capital One card. They promised to increase the CL after 3 months of on time pay..I think they called it their 'Credit Steps' program. I especially like the introductory 0% interest.

Yup, good for you! Personally, I wouldn't try it, cause we BK'd on Cap 1, but I'm VERY happy for you! Happy rebuilding!!!!!!!!

That's great to hear, bal_ny. You and I share a discharge date, and it's amazing to know that it's actually possible so soon, and at such good terms. Not that I'm ready to even think about it.
