I have to call...its the only way i can dispute the items that are not listed on the report that i recieved...only the one that the lender got. I don't care if they know anything about credit, they better just know how to type and use a computer!Originally posted by tinroofrustedDon't bother calling the credit bureaus, I seriously doubt that you will find someone who a.) speaks English properly or b.) has a freaking clue about credit and credit repair.

Writing a letter works 100 times better. Trust me on this one. You call, and you'll be so ticked off by the time the convo is done, you won't be able ot think straight.Originally posted by almost_homelessI have to call...its the only way i can dispute the items that are not listed on the report that i recieved...only the one that the lender got. I did both individual and the 3-1. Then my lender sent me the entire report that she got.Originally posted by LightningDid you purchase your credit reports directly from the credit reporting agencies or did you go through a 3-in-1 or other 3rd party company?Last edited by almost_homeless; 10-05-2005, 06:53 AM.

Well you were right about "be so ticked off by the time the convo is done". I didn't see this post till after i called. So i am gonna write them. I have copies of everything, and i have highlighted all the problems, and added a question as to why there are the discrepencies in the scores. Thanks for the info. I'll let you know what happens. Originally posted by tinroofrustedYes, you are entitled to a credit report, but under no circumstances, can you get the credit score that was pulled. You can only do that if the company that pulled your credit is kind enough to disclose it. Many of them won't. I know that we don't.
By law you have to have a credit report disclosure signed at application. disclosing the borrowers credit scores. Why would you not send a person their credit report or disclose their scores? I do it all of the time it is the only way someone can truly see what is going on with their credit.
What kind of a mortgage company do you work for? It seems that you do not have your clients best interest in mind just the commissions that you receive. I understand you are new to the business but you are putting alot of bad information out there reguarding how credit scores are calculated, this is public knowledge. Here is hoe scores are calculated:
35% - Your Payment History
30% - Amounts You Owe
15% - Length of Your Credit History
10% - Types of Credit Used
10% - New Credit
The reason your scores are jumping around is people are shopping your company left and right. You do have a 2 week window where you can have yoru credit pulled as much as you want, after that point it starts to hurt your score if no new credit is established. It is true that the scores people get over the internet are incorrect and are usually lower significantly then what us brokers use. Any BK questions please message me, if you are in ohio or florida and are intersted in buying a house, I can get youa copy of your credit report with scores.

There are bunches of stuff on that report that NEVER showed on the 3 reports i got from the Three Stoogies. There were many items that were reported DIFFERENTLY several times, with different out comes...examp., one said it was in collection, and the other (with the same account #, amount and reporter) said was paid. As soon as i get home, i am gonna be doing some major B*tching. The lender that is working with me, pointed all this stuff out for me, if she hadn't i would of never known, i have her to thank most of all for going above and beyond her job for helping me out!
