    **removal of public records/collections**

is it possible to completely wife off a paid collection/judgement/tax lien?
the collection part would really help, they have recently been paid for, and one should have never been reported, (cellular one) it showed up after i filed.

I disputed a judgement against me as not mine because they had listed the same judgement twice, and with wrong docket numbers on both of them. They both were deleted as not verifiable. The judgement was actually mine, but had completely inaccurate information on it, didn't think it would be dropped off my report but just updated. Boy was I surprised and happy!

If a collection account has been satisfied, then yes, it should drop from your record.

Realize, a collection account and public records are in two different sections of the credit report. As for public records, as Minera pointed out, all you can do is dispute inaccuracies if there are any, otherwise, you have to wait the number of years specified for the type of public record to drop from your report.

I noticed yesterday a judgement is gone from Experian. It was due to come off in early '06, perhaps it came off a little sooner? I won't complain!

And Chrysler is no longer reporting the truck loan! (Wiped a bunch of 30 & 60 day lates off...) Fine by me, since I'm not reaffirming...
