First CC as a responsible decision maker!!!

Ok so I know one can live without good credit. However, I wanted to build some good credit now that we are discharged. So I applied for a card online that I had read about on this forum. One of them only approved for a secured card and all the others turned me down. I applied at Orchard, Target, Kohls, and Capital One to be turned down by all. So then I thought about HSBC. I applied online and was approved for $300. Got my card today in the mail. I really only wanted $100 limit but it really doesn't matter I guess because I only plan on making one purchase a month on it for reporting purposes. So here is too new and responsible cash way of life. I can honestly say life has been much better since we went through this process. It is amazing to know that everything I do is because I can afford it.

Stay responsible and you will be very proud of yourself. We applied for Orchard and we were approved for $750 and that is PLENTY. We charge our gas only.

Good for you! Start out slow. I feel peace knowing everything I spend it what I can afford. Nothing goes on credit for longer than 30 days
