Well....I called them and they said they did not have my application on file....so the guy took an app from me over the phone....at the end he said.....ok you will receive something from us in a few days...I asked if I was approved or denied...and he said he didn't know that they don't do instant answers. Anyone else get that??

Congrats Amy on your new Hooters

Just curious if anyone who has gotten approved for Hooters after they BK'd them
Dh and I had cards from them that we IIB so I'm thinking it wouldn't do us any good applying with them

I got an error message also when I applied...
but I got an alert from Truecredit.com (credit bureau monitoring service) that I had an inquiry from Merrick Bank so I knew the application went through. I would call them to see if it went through.

Yup yup... I really like the card...they do hold my payments for like 5-7 days though but I'm ok with that. I don't want to be using it constantly anyways. My payments have been really large though so that could be why.

" Go Go Hooters!
Wow! I'm so shocked and happy! Hooters approved me with no annual fee and a 1,100 limit with a 16.70% rate!"
I got the same deal. I was discharged 12/22/09. Applied on 12/31/09. Got my card around 1/09/10. A complete surprise.

i also think inquiries are silly, at least the way they are doing them now. at least i think they should count multiple inquiries within say a week as just one. they already do that for mortgages and i think car loans, and they should do the same with credit cards.
btw, i always meant to ask you: what do you mean by "nobody expects the spanish inquisition" in your signature? are you referring to what might happen at the 341?
cheers, and enjoy your new-found credit!

Hiya Music! Haven't seen you around in a while!
Glad to hear your scores are doing well too! I'm very surprised at mine being 691... I don't think my score was that high before I filed.. hehe.
Yea you lucky duck with your old cards. I will stop trying to get credit now... I know all the inqueries from trying to get car financing and the credit cards is not good.
I think inqueries are stupid though... of course people are going to shop around and try to get good offers... I guess they expect you to only apply to one place and if you don't get it oh well!

hi amy, 'grats!
today i pulled my equifax fico from score-watch. i was surprised to see it was 690!!
i haven't applied for new credit, but (as you know) some of my old credit cards never got closed and i have been using them regularly for small amounts. that seems to have a good effect on my score, together with the fact that there have been zero inquiries
