i just recieved a capital one offer the other day. it was $69 enrollment fee, $69 annual fee and 23.9% um no thankyou i shredded it. when i get an offer with no enrollment or annual fee and possibly a lower rate then i may accept just for rebuilding purposes only. i just think that the cc companies think i'm so anxious for a new cc that i'll accept anything. NOT!

Damn sharks! That's one of the worst offers I've heard of to date. I can imagine the "top greedy bastids" in a meeting, "Profits arent high enough.. we should have some form of sign-up fee.. but what should we call it yet be politically correct... Ah! "Enrollment fee"! That sounds honest and makes it sound like they are getting something from it!"Originally posted by drowningNdebt View Posti just recieved a capital one offer the other day. it was $69 enrollment fee, $69 annual fee and 23.9% um no thankyou i shredded it.Retained Lawyer: 04/2009 Filed: 09/2009 341 Meeting: 10/2009 Discharged: 12/2009 Asset: 05/2010 made asset Closed: 07/2013 after 47 long months

there was no way i was going to pay $140 in fees up front to just have a credit card. NO way! The interest rate was bad enough. However, if I do get another card I will use it just for food and gas and pay it off at month end. So the interest rate really wouldn't be an issue.9/22/2009 - officially filed chapter 7

I've read others who also say their annual fee for Orchard was spread over the year? That did not happen to me. Upon approval (just a $300 toy CL), they've already charged the full annual fee upfront ($59). It's really no biggie because I'll just go ahead and pay it in full after the first statement. I just think it's bizarre that it's different per account user.Originally posted by BK2008 View PostOrchard has a better a deal, 8.9%, $60.00 annual fee, charged by the month (% per).
I definitely plan to close this Orchard MC before a full year's up, especially with that annual fee. I see the first year's fee as a "you use me and I use you" type relationship. They are using me to get a free $59, and I'm using them for a year so they can report on-time payments to the 3 bureaus for 12 months.Retained Lawyer: 04/2009 Filed: 09/2009 341 Meeting: 10/2009 Discharged: 12/2009 Asset: 05/2010 made asset Closed: 07/2013 after 47 long months

Capitol one just bumped up my credit line. I have had the card for three months. It was originally for 500.00. Now it was bumped up to 750.00. I charged $350.00 and kept making double payments. Now that I got my first trade line increase I think I will pay off my balance next month. BTW.. the card is 0% until March with no annual fee.
