Can someone suggest a site to get my credit score from? I went online but some of them looked shady so I am looking for one that has been used before. Thanks!!

If you want your REAL FICO-score, there is only one place: myfico.com.

Thanks for the reply. I went on the site and it says: I agree to be billed 10 days from now at $14.95 per month if I do not cancel my no obligation 10-day free trial. A three month minimum subscription applies.

I guess I am dense but does the last part mean if I do not cancel in 10 days I get stuck with a 3 month subscription, if I cancel before 10 days it is free with no other catch?...lol. Is there a place I can pay a straight fee for one time use?

You needn't sign up for their program. You can also make a one-time score-purchase. Follow this link and elect the "check it"-option on the far left side:

        http://www.myfico.com/Products/Products.aspx

You can also google for discount codes so you don't have to pay the total 19.95 per report. "cppsavings" always worked for me as discount-code.
