Is disputing online preferred to mail?

I thought I had everything on my credit report cleaned up but now I see MANY errors and need to get them corrected. Is doing an online dispute preferred to a mailed request?

I also want to ask, when you disputed items did you go to the company first or straight to the credit agency reporting it wrong?

My scores are low due to misinformation on my reports.

Try it and see if they get fixed.....if not use the mail. Keep track of your dispute #'s they give you online. It worked OK for me on most, but I still have one that hasn't worked either way. Time is my friend, I'll wait a little longer until the file is mothballed.
