From what I've seen on credit card denials (and I've seen my fair share) alot of them using some scoring method, and if you don't make the cut they point out the biggest negative factors on the score. Having 'bankruptcy' listed as reason for denial doesn't mean they said NO just because you had a bankruptcy.

Perhaps try again in a few months?

      Target

Well, I got my denial letter from Target today. BK cited as the reason. I have a student loan which is current, a Hooter's card and an account with Crown which are both current and will stay that way. I still have some cleanup, but my TU score increased by 92 points since I started and EQ by 110. Experian is still my enemy. Much still needs to be done but I am going to lay off applying for anything else for the next several months until my scores on TC are all over 600. I have other things on my plate to get back in the swing of things.
