Here's something that I had not thought about. I checked my credit profile (not pretty) and noticed that Bally's also reports to the credit bureaus. I let my membership expire because I never went to the gym anyway. Well, when I saw that PAID IN FULL on there, I decided to get them back. Even if I never go, at least it will show some sort of payment history.

Yes, Bally's does report. The total monthly payments you make are actually a loan that is financed into your lifetime contract. That way, if you try to quit, they pursue you for the entire balance of the loan.
