Ok so I just came back from a 7 day cruise and while I was on the ship I applied for their credit card. I just got my denial letter in the mail on Saturday and they basically told me that I was denied for a card due to the fact that I have low available credit on existing credit card, insufficient credit history and a high number of recent inquiries. I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy last year and it was discharged in December of last year. Right now my credit score is 635. Should I call them and tell them that I am trying to build my credit back up and that is why I applied for this card? Of course I have low credit limits on my card because the companies I am with Credit One and Legacy Visa are known for their low credit limits. What should I do yall? I would really like a card with them since I like to cruise throughout the year.
Barclay is very finicky though and they may give you some other bogus about not enough positive history since your BK or something... how many inquries did you have when you app'd? They don't like those either... but its worth a shot.
