So I called Transunion today, to try and fix the last remaining incorrect entry on my credit reports. 3 times it has been disputed and come back incorrect. This time, I asked the lady if there was anything that could be done to help ensure it gets corrected this time. She said, when you dispute these things, the criteria of the dispute should be 'Not Coded Correctly'. Meaning in the description where it should say IIB, if thats not what it says, then it is not correctly coded. Its not an option when you do online disputes, for example- disputing 'Not my account' may not correct an error unrelated to that. Use the 'Other' option when disputing, and type in 'Not Coded Correctly'. Just some FYI to anyone disputing their credit reports.

Yeah, I heard about this one the other day in an article.
Apparently when you dispute things, even if you dispute in a 6 page letter, they label some stupid code to your account, and THAT's how they "verify" a lot of this information, and why it seems to come back incorrectly.....BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!

Great to know this will help , i just disputed all again "not mine "with transunion. next month I will try not under other "Not coded correctly"
I was wondering will this help debt to fall off if they don't respond of coarse, Also Are you admitting to BK and that it is your acct By disputing this way ?
