    Forced to include in BK...

Hope this is the right forum....

Filed BK7 on 06-19 - 341 Meeting is 07-14... No assets - no nothing - and was terminated a week after filing - so job hunting in addition...

Anyway - my attorney said I had to include all CC as to not be playing favorites....

OK - I have my Captial One for like 12 years - great records with them. Just over a $1900.00 balance - called to explain - and asked about paying it and keeping it after - boy - you would think they never get this coming up! I tried to access online and told it was "temporarily suspended" and to call. She said it was closed and I would have to re-apply after - but that continuing to pay would "probably" help - am I allowed to continue to pay on it or is there really no reason to?

Same thing with Target Red Card - $93.00 balance..... AArrggghhhh

My Household that I got a few months ago ($750.00) - have made like 3 small purchases and paid them off immediately - so NO BALANCE and I will not attempt to use until discharge - I can still access the account online and it shows it with the full limit as available???

All of my debts are so old and BK was just the have to option. I have actually lived for the past 5 years totally cash/debit card basis - believe me it can be done...

    Confused...

Anybody have any experience with this situation?

    HOT HOT here in Vegas...

You must include all credit cards in your BK--whether you are current or not. It is what it is.

You're getting a fresh start, so you shouldn't have a need for credit and now need to live within your means, as you were doing before.

There are BK friendly creditors that you can look at after you've been discharged.

You can choose to voluntarily pay any debt that was discharged, with or without reaffirming; however, I'm not exactly sure how that would happen with credit cards.

I was told if a cc balance was $0 you do not have to list it.

Some companies will pull a random CR on you if you carry thier card. (CHASE BANK) We were never late on the Chase card but they pulled a CR and saw we missed a payment elsewhere. So, they jacked up from 15% to 29.99%. SO, becareful.

You may just want to get rid of all your cards and start fresh.
