Trouble dealing with Equifax to delete inaccuracies after discharge

I have 2 separate entries appear on my Equifax credit report for my Ch7 BK after the discharge. When I disputed these to have Equifax report my BK discharge as only a single event, they said that it was verified under 2 separate accounts. I then called each BK court to verify and found out that indeed there was an error with my reporting of the BK on my Equifax credit report. So when I called Equifax back they refused to remove the Fresno entry which is an error per my conversation with the Fresno BK court. How can I get Equifax to fix the error that reports two different BKs on my report if the customer Equifax person would not change it? Do I need to speak to a manager at Equifax?

What you need to do is have the Fresno BK court send you a letter stating that there was an error in the reporting, and that there should only be one BK on your credit report. When you have that letter in hand, send a copy to Equifax. Seeing as how they are saying the incorrect info was verified, you don't have any other choice. You can either continue to dispute this and get nowhere, or you can just take matters into your own hands to get the job done. As soon as you have the proof in your hands from Fresno, Equifax will have no choice but to report correctly, or else you can sue them. But you first have to have the proof in your hands that Equifax is wrong.
