student loan money and filing bk.

I get my spring loan in feb some day between 1st and the 15th. They never get them out on time. IT is around 5k that will come to me for the normal stuff living expenses and such. I plan to file in April or may. Will having this money in Feb cause a issue in my bk if i file in April or may. Not sure how to get around this as i get one spring summer and fall. so hard to wait a period of time. I could wait 6 months but that would have me filing like 2 weeks before my fall loan.
Also since this is student loan money will they want to know what i spent it on and such. or is it except and they do not care. How can they make me go into a non discharged debt to pay of creditors.

The loan money will not count as income for the means test, but the cash sitting in your bank account after the loan disbursement is disbursed to you has to be exempted when you file. You will need to exempt the left over loan money that is in your account on the day you file, or the trustee will take it.
You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet Under
