stop paying credit cards while in trial modification

Need some advice. I just completed my 5th trial mod and can no longer keep up with the minimums on my cc. My concern is will I be denied a permanent mod if I stop making my cc pymts. I'm planning on filing bk once the mod is made permanent and finalized. Also, when will the creditors start to come after me. I'm currently two months behind and won't file for another 3-4 months. I don't want to have my wages garnished or bank account frozen.
I'm scared to death of what the creditors will do If I stop paying completely.

Don't pay your cc debt any more and save the money you would have paid them to pay your attorney. Just don't answer the phone and stay calm. If you answer the phone don't tell you creditors anything. Be nice and polite and hang up. When you have your money for the attorney, peace will return to your life. Have courage, all is well.
