Well all of that unnecessary worrying for absolutely nothing! I arrived at the building at around 8:45 to find a park. My hearing wasn't until 10:00, I literally drove around for 25 minutes looking for a park. I had to park a couple blocks away and march my way in 3 inch heels to the courthouse (my fault).
Anyway, I sat in the waiting area. My atty arrived literally minutes before we were set to go up. I had a couple hiccups:
1. My hubby is self-employed and trustee requested a copy of his expenses.
2. I rec'd a very large tax refund (due to my original tax preparer putting me as head of household). My atty caught it when I filed and I had to amend my taxes. Somehow the trustee "may" not have know about the amendments because he was talking about adjusting my payments to $600 (increasing from $419). My atty didn't remember at the time about the amendments but said that she would go back in and talk to him.
3. IRS withholdings for a business that never started. I filed that in August with the IRS but they hadn't gotten the necessary information to satisfy it. So she's going to clarify that as well.
Basically that's it - I just have to submit hubby's expenses BUT he did say - "mark for confirmation", which is GREAT!!
I was so relieved and even after talking to my atty afterwards, she was very pleased at the outcome!
