    BK humor

Anyone interested in sharing stories about BK, that can make you laugh?

I put my BK off for 2 years after consultation with attorney, (I needed time to drain retirement accounts and mess up my credit), when it finally came down to a must do thing, my attorney filed on 1 April. Or April fools day.

Anyone out there care to share humor? What we are going thru bites, but to me the smiles keep you going!

Well to be honest, I don't really find anything about bk amusing. Its a very serious topic, with very bad circumstances surrounding ones personal situation and dangerous legal possibilities.

At times it may seem like dark humor...

But the ability to step back and smile at yourself a little, and appreciate the irony in the BK situation can help to get through it all. I think what 1/2 Way was saying about filing on April FOOLS Day is definitely ironic.

I laugh at the fact that I used to be annoyed at finding loose change under the couch and in the cushions when vacuuming, now I think "Hey, almost enough for a latte at Starbucks..." and I'm back to "finders keepers" with change at the bottom of my washer or in the dryer.

Nope, it's not a funny subject, but we do have to learn to laugh. It is kind of funny about filing on April 1. Halloween would be the second funniest day to me!

Yeah, I guess there is nothing really funny about running up a $900.00 bill at HOOTERS. What in the HECK were you doing to spend that much money at Hooters? I thought I would bust your chops a bit since u find it necessary to bust 1/2 way's. No, it is not funny being in a BK. I am almost one year done into it and I look on my company paystub. I have earned 30,000 year to date and then I look on the National Data Center website and I have paid since last November 16,000 dollars. That is something to be proud of. But, ya know. IT IS MY FAULT! So I will suck it up and keep going because I don't wanna lose my house, my family or my wife. But like the others have said if you can find something to laugh about in the awful world of BK. Find it and run with it. You gotta laugh. At the rate I was going last year I would of been pushing up daisies by now. Take Care all. Good Luck to all. Good Bless.

Hooters is a Mastercard and FOMO has a $900 credit limit! I don't think he ran up a $900 bill at Hooters!

Now, that's some BK humor for sure!

It all is not fun. But life is not fun, unless you make it that way. I wish my life had not gone to heck, but it did and oh well. I am only half way through my 13 and wish it was over, but it is not.

Life goes on, and we will survive.

                    Sorry if I hurt anyone,

This is not a great thing, but I try to get through each day. Dang, I got married after getting into my 13. Guess my wife should have a good reason to laugh.

I told her what was up, but oh well. If we can't laugh we should cry.

                    Have a great day all.

After we had just filed BK, my mom knew something was up. I hadn't told anyone yet. SHe comes over one day and asked me if I was on drugs because I wasn't talking to anyone anymore and not calling anyone back and all depressed and stuff. Well, since then my husband calls me the BKcrackhead and that we are bankrupt because I spent all my money on crack. And in all honesty I laugh when he says that. (for the record, I have never done crack or any other major drug, EVER).

You have to find humor whenever you can in stressful situations. It's just not right to WANT to be down all the time.

Laughter is the best cure! When I was down and out at times, my friends were always there to pick me up. They'd make me laugh when we'd be together, and for those few brief moments, I forgot all about my fiancial problems. That said, I look for humor in everything. That was partially my reason for starting the Bad Songs Stuck In Your Head thread......to make myself laugh and maybe give others a good laugh. Laughter is world's greatest medication......and it's FREE!
