well all I can say is AMEN ladies!! CAB, I think I really needed to hear this!
Just like Jane, I think I have been the best mom I could be. My girls have grown up to be very well mannered young ladies that would do anything for anyone. They both are spirtual, never gotten into trouble, and helps around the house. They are so much better than what I was growing up! I know how they represent theirselves today is a reflection on how their dad and I raised them. As for me, no more feeling sorry for myself because of the things I CAN'T do and start focusing on the things I CAN do!
Thanks for the kick in the butt CAB and here's hoping we ALL will start treating ourselves better.

Hey~ girlfriends~ I think you both are NO DOUBT FABULOUS MOMS!!!!
And I ALSO know that your kiddos are FABULOUS kids too~
they don't just turn out well mannered and all around good kids without the leadership that they have had in you as their Moms~ There are lots of GREAT Dads TOO !!!!!!!
I know I am tough on myself too, and sometimes ya just can't help it!!!!
But kids don't turn out good by the heck of it~ and even though we are (as their parents) going through some tough stuff too...they will watch how WE handle it, and then that's how they'll HANDLE things too....We are an example to them~ in more ways than one!!!
As a young kid we moved, if not every year, every eighteen months FOR sure~ military....
and when I got in my teens, my friends would say "Gosh...wasn't that hard for you?" ..I would say ..."well, no not really"...because it WASN'T..that's all I ever knew, AND MY MOM AND DAD HANDLED IT WELL too!!!!!!! that's why it wasn't so hard for me, because I saw how they responded, and I knew because I trusted them, that it would be OK!!!!!

You kiddos know too that you are facing HARD times, but they TRUST YOU~ because YOU are their MOMS, and usually Moms are SURVIVORS~ they know they are safe with you no matter what happens...financial or anything else~ they feel safe...no matter whether we can give them things or not~ They truly want your LOVE...nothing else matters but YOUR ACCEPTANCE FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! And obviously you've proved that to them!!
You know as well as I do...we ARE BETTER PEOPLE for what storms we have to face~ no matter what!!!
I know people who have LOST children...now that's some tough stuff to face...don't know that I could do it...but I do know the people that I have had to watch go through it,.....if I ever have to, I'm glad that I would have them to help me....that's what we're here for to help each other!!!!

You're both and SinkingFast too...all of you moms on here~ I respect totally for the fact that this BK thing is definately making us stronger people and better Moms~ our kids will be fine!!!!!!!!! They will learn from our mistakes too...they may have to have a few knocks too, (like my son) but hey~ if seein' is believin' then bring it on~ I hate it for him, but if that's what it takes okay then~
the thing here is there's just no such thing as a perfect parent or a perfect child~ BUT....you can do the best that you can and that's that!!!!
And I believe that you Mom's here are doing as good of a job as God expects us to do....that's what is important for me, that He says "Good job Christina, good job" ..that'll do me just fine!! I've made mistakes. Bottom line, but my kids have seen my mistakes, and I'm ok with that! My mom and dad were NOT as open with us, and I believe that's why we feel like we've failed because we think (only think) they never made mistakes because that was a proud generation and they believed you were WEAK if you laid out your mistakes for anyone else to see....but truth is~ it makes me more accountable, and proves that we can and do make mistakes and life goes on...it's what you do with it after you've made the mistake~ I choose to LEARN and MOVE on!!!!!!!
      CHEERS YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very profound words Cab and Spartan. My children are still young and don't know the value of a dollar yet. Very good points to consider. Thanks
