Anyone have their mortgage sold while in 13?

I fear trouble on the horizon. Just received a letter from Washington Mutual stating that our loan has been sold to Wells Fargo. Oh I hope this isn't going to be a problem with the bankruptcy. Nothing in the letter mentions bankruptcy.

Guess I will find out next month.

    Don't worry, it won't be a problem.

There is a chance it might help your credit score. As long as you are keeping up your mortgage payments, your new mortgage lender may report your payments to the credit bureau's with no chapter 13 mess on it. I'm so pissed on my credit report because my mortgage company reports "derogitory" though I have never been late on a mortgage payment.

ok, I'll TRY not to worry

Just can't help it. Everything has worked out relatively smoothly, other than taking almost a year to confirm my payment plan.
Even when I was on here last spring worrying because we were losing DS's SS check. DH found a part time job that covered the amount of the check. He lost that job 2 months ago, and so far, I have been able to pick up enough OT at work to cover this, and I was given a position in the same department this week that will pay $1 an hour more than I am currently making.

So I just keep expecting something horrible to happen before we get the plan finished.

I am 44 months into my 13. Just got the same mortgage sale notice you did, going from Washington Mutual to Wells Fargo. My biggest concern right now is that I sent them (Wells Fargo)my payment on the 1st, but I guess us "newbies" won't be in their computer sytem for about a month........I'm wondering which desk my payment will get lost on??

We will officially be completely in the system tomorrow, according to the person I spoke to today from Wells Fargo.

I am so P***** at WaMu right now. My mortgage payments are due the 1st of the month, with a grace period until the 15th. I sent my payment the 29th or 30th of November, to the addy WaMu had in their letter( remember I stated it didnt' mention BK anywhere- that should have been my clue to call them and clarify) Now TODAY, the 4th of December, 3 days past my due date, I get the letter with the address to use for BANKRUPTCY PAYMENTS, and it definitely IS NOT the one in their original letter. I have sent my payment to Dallas, and it should have gone to Iowa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes!! I called Wells Fargo. She couldn't access all of our acct info until tomorrow, but said she would put a notation in our acct that I had been in contact. She also did say it shows on our account right now that Dallas is the correct address for our payment. Guess I will wait just a few more days and call again to check status of my payment.

I knew something would go awry.

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid I tried to call this morning to check on my payment status. Seems the ditz I talked to earlier this week gave me the number for COLLECTIONS. Collections guy #1 was nice and gave me a new number to call. Well, I dug out the letter WaMu sent us, and the 800# on the letter is different from the number collections guy just gave me. So I tried the # from the WaMu letter, just didn't trust collections guy#1 for some reason. Seems it isn't the BK dept # after all. It is another collections 800. I explained what was going on to collections guy #2. He said payment was probably sitting somewhere until they figured out it needed to go to my account, and it would eventually end up there. So I called the number they gave me, and it does seem to be the BK Dept for Wells Fargo. But I can't call and find out about my payment boo boo until Monday, because wouldn't ya know it, the BK dept is closed on Saturday, and is only open from 8-8 central time during the week

Collections guy #2 also told me that the transition has not gone as smoothly as they had hoped. Gee, wonder why, when WaMu couldn't even send out the correct information in a timely manner.

If you are interested, the BK # for WellsFargo is 800-274-7025, M-F 8-8 central time ( those are the hours collection guy #1 gave me, hope they are right). And I have to say, even though they were collections guys, both of the men I talked to today were extremely nice and helpful.

So here is hoping you had the right address to sent payment to. As soon as I confirm with the bk dept that the addy I have is the correct one for them, I think I am going to set them up through bill pay at my bank, so I don't have to worry about it anymore. My mortgage has been one of the few bills I still mail. I hand deliver my auto insurance and water payment, but all my other utilities I pay online.

The DW and I received a notice from Wells Fargo today stating that we were $822 in arrears. Tried calling the 800 number listed but was told since we were BK we had to call another number.

I hope we don't have problems dealing w/ this issue. We have been in the plan since 09/04 and are looking forward to October of next year.

Will keep you posted of the events which may occur.

I got that letter today too. Mine shows the payment( which did post yesterday ). It also shows $875 for " Corporate Advances(as reported by previous servicer and includes- but is not limited to attorney fees/cost, inspections, etc). It also shows " Less Suspense ( funds not yet applied to your unpaid principal balance)- ($62.66).
So I figure they are going to try to hit us up for $812.34. Can they do that??
I know that wa mu tried to show us with a 149 escrow shortage that was actually fees for their attny when we filed bk. But I thought they finally made that go away when our plan was confirmed. ( in fact this is the reason it took a year to be confirmed)

Will try to call in a few and see what is going on.

UPDATE: Called the number, lady pointed out the next to last paragraph that this was for informational purposes only. She said the money didn't mean anything since we were in bk, as long as we completed the plan, and kept our payments up to date. She couldn't tell me what the charge was for, just kept saying it didn't apply because of the bk, and we wouldn't have to pay it unless we defaulted on the bk. Still think I will run it by my atty office and show it to them ( if they will see me, have had trouble getting them to return calls since they got their money)

Been having all the same problems. WaMu gave me a Los Angeles address to send pymts to Wells Fargo, so I did. Then I got a letter with a Iowa address (bankruptcy division of Wells Fargo) to send payments to. A couple days ago I got a letter from WF indicating I was in arrears...they hadn't rec'd a payment. Called WF customer service, they said the "arrears letter" was a snafu and to ignore it, verified the Iowa address was the correct one, found and credited my misdirected payment. All seems OK. I think I may well like Wells Fargo much more than WaMu, at least the Customer Service folks seem lots more helpful!
