Okay so I am still trying to do this chapter 13 on my own (pro se) and am currently working on some of the paper work for the first time.
I have a few questions that I hope someone that filed on their own can answer for me. We have a large family and our income is less than the median for our area. We can not file 7 as we did 6 years ago but I am at a point on this paper work where it asks if the amount on one line is less than the amount on the other line and it is so it says to check the box for disposable income is not determined under 1325 b 4 at the top of page one of this statement and complete part VII of this statement. Do not complete Parts IV, V, or VI. So I am confussed as to how I am going to finish this paperwork when the next thing for me to do is sign. There are things in the parts that it tells me not to include that I feel that I need to. Uhhhhhhh why do I feel like they are totally kicking me when I am down. Does this mean that because our income is under by 30,000 that we will not be able to file 13 or should I still try to and let the trustee figure it out???????????
I am going to consult with a lawyer soon but can't do that just yet due to other reasons. Our income is almost 80,000 so we can afford to pay some of our debt so how can they tell when they don't even ask up until this point what our debt is.............
I know filing on my own I am going to cross hurdles but did buy the packet and the kit with software so I could try to figure out how much I could pay back and for how many years I would be looking at 3 or 5. Maybe I could lend some of you my dependents and everyone would win.... Just trying to make light of an already stressful situation sorry........
There is no way that I can handle the stress of 2 more years of this and besides even if I could I doubt it will take that long for them to start garnishing hubbys check and our bank accounts. The only way for us to get paid is direct deposit his job offers no other choice so I am at a loss and hope someone can shed some light onto this for me.....
Thanks and sorry for this being so long.............
