    Is this good news?

I am trying to get the debts that were 100% in my Wifes name (She passed away almost a year ago) taken off the CH13 that I was able to have her removed from. The case is in my name only now. I just got a letter from the court that states that my motion to object to those claims is sustained. I can't talk to Attorney today, but does this sound encouraging?

Damn, I hate those legal jargons ("slang words") myself too.

"Sustained" = affirmed = positive= agreed= OK! (for lay people).

    "Over-ruled" = negated= negative = not agreed = NOT OK! (for lay-back again)

...wheeewwww..... now felt wind blew on my bare back mountain...

It sounds good. Sustained would mean the Court is agreeing with your request.

Score one for the little people!!

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

Sorry to hear of your loss.
It sounds good at first, but don't forget. What she owned has to hold good for what she owes when you settle her estate.

With your BK filing, they have very detailed info and valuations for her personal belongings. Everything listed on Schedules A & B in her name or joint will need to be liquidated and paid into her estate then used to pay her creditors. In reality, you're going to have to keep paying her debts.

Don't expect your creditors to go gently into the night.
