We live in Mississippi, and we have been in chapter 13 for 13 months. We e-filed our taxes and our refund has been direct deposited into our account. We received a letter from our trustee stating " in order to get a discharge all tax refunds must be sent to trustee, then our lawyer tells us 50% has to be given to trustee." I been reading post on this sight stating some people kept their refunds. What should we do????????

Chapter 13 and kids need braces
Question,
We are in chapter 13, and as most of you know, we have no money left for anything. We have two daughters that both need braces, and we can't afford the $130 payment per child per month. Are there any exceptions to plan payments concerning this matter? We are in a 60 month repayment plan already!!!! Any suggestions????? -
Regarding Tax refunds, they are by default, disposable income and therefore subject to turn over to the Trustee.
No suggestions on the braces, if you don't have the money, you don't have the money.Comment
