    what happens to creditors after the plan

    I was just wanting to find out, that once all your creditors on your list have been paid, CAN they go after you again for the money?

    Also, in a chapter 13, what happens if the creditors does not file a proof of claim and after the bankruptcy has been discharged. can these creditors come after you for the money.

    You list all your Creditors at the time you file. The Court notifies all the Creditors you listed that you've filed BK. All collection activity stops.

    You submit a proposed plan to the Court based on your projected disposable income. Your Unsecured Creditors have until 90 days after your first scheduled 341 Meeting to submit a Claim for their piece of your Ch 13 Payment Plan pie.

    The Trustee decides, based on Claims received, which Creditors are gonna get how much money from you Plan. If an Unsecured Creditor does not submit a Claim within the prescribed time period, they loose their opportunity to receive anything from your BK payment plan.

    If you make all your payments, on time, for the duration of your Plan, any remaining unpaid debts, including those to Creditors who did not file a Claim, are Discharged.
