    Credit Report

Ok, so I have been looking over my reports, and I want to know what I can do about a couple of things:

    1) 2 accounts have the wrong "open" date, one states that I actually opened it a month after I filed!

    2) some of them say they wont be removed until 2012, now, I was under the umpression they could only be there for 6 years, am I totally wrong?

    3) one account says that its a "profit and loss write off" and has no mention of my chap 13

so, what should I do? File an investigation? If so, should I call them or do it online? Im so frustrated with this, it seems like companies can say whatever the hell they want and we have to go through hell to prove them wrong!

    JENN,
You need to visit the "credit repair" section (section 2) of the forum and read about disputing things on your credit report and how to go about it.....

If your still in a chapter 13 they will be reported differently till your case is closed.

But anything you don't agree with - dispute it with certified letter to the credit bureau - they have to make the company prove its valid.

Do lots of reading on credit repair and get started on it as soon as possible so that your credit report is on its way to recovery.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
