Can We Put Name On Child's Auto Title

My mother bought my daughter a car under her name and insurance to last for a few months until my daughter turned 18, which is today. My mom wants to title it over totally to my daughter now where she will be responsible for her own insurance.

She is 18, and the cost of auto insurance, even with good grades, is huge. Since I'm in a Ch 13, can the car be titled to my daughter and me? It will then go to my insurance which is affordable for her to pay.

I just want to be sure that I could do that.
    Thanks

You do not want to have your name on the title of the car, becasue in case of an accident you could be financial responsible.
A solution would be is for your daughter to get a job and pay for the car.
This could be some good dollars and cents training for your her.

if your daughter is a authorized driver on your insurance you can have it in her name only and still put the insurance on your policy. I know because my mom did this for my sister
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

And my daughters car IS in her name, and it is covered on MY policy since she is still in school, under our roof. That will be much better than having your name attached to it, and it becoming an asset the trustee could go after.

What insurance do you guys have? My company said I couldn't do that. I will go back and ask though. That would be the best thing that cold happen.

Sounds to me like it was already paid for and given to the daughter as a gift from grandma.

Our son's jeep is in his name and covered on our insurance. He helped pay for the car last summer, but we cover the insurance while he is in school.
