My wife and I are about to file ch 13. Will this have any effect on out visa check/ATM bank card? Will we still be able to use it if it directly ties to our checking account? Could the bank cancel it? Thanks for the help!!

Yes, debit cards are not credit cards, so usually, you can continue to use them. -
Your bank should'nt cancel your check card(s), unless you are severely overdrawn. To be on the safe side, dont cancel your check card account! 99% of banks require check card holders to have good/decent credit.

Check Card...
We're in my fourth month of BK13 and because we owed the bank that holds our Visa Check Card they cancelled, not only our Visa Check Card, but our regular ATM cards, as well. It was suggested that we change banks, which I did, and told them up front that I was in a Chptr 13. They were very understanding and gave me a Visa Check Card, BUT there is no carry over balance or overdraft protection. I have the convenience, but with many limitations.
