This is why ALL BK filers must review each of their 3 credit reports and dispute ALL incorrect information until it is corrected. It is against the law for any creditor to continue to list debts that have been discharged, and you can sue the creditor to get enforcement.
              Filed Business Chapter 7: 7/11/07
              341 Meeting: 8/8/07 Asset Case
              US Trustee reviewed case/resolved 9/14/07
              Discharged: 10/11/07 Closed: 11/2/08

Rather obviously it ought to be against the law for lenders to "sell" loans that they know have been discharged in BK, (And they indicate that the DO know when on notification they cease their own collection efforts) but no, they have turned it into another multi-billion dollar business deal while claiming that they have no knowledge of these debts being discharged.
The principal of debtors receiving relief and "a fresh start" is the fundamental premise of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, These slime-ball wheeler-dealers that are attempting to undermine the law, and profit thereby, ought to be convicted, and fined with heavy punitive damages.
Little doubt, that it is only the hefty campaign contributions that are putting politicians in their pocket to just "look the other way" while they pull off these crooked shenanigans.

Does this mean that all folks who filed bankruptcy will have to eventually pay all the money they thought was discharged back to the lenders?

Am I correct in assuming that if we check all three credit reports for accuracy in discharged amounts and if they are incorrect, we keep at the creditors until they remove the information that this will keep us from worrying about this article and its content?

Unfortunately, there will be people who will pay some, if not all, of some debts to Zombie Debt Collectors.

You've researched and learned, tho. If a ZDC comes after you,........ You'll know enough to tell them off. Legally.

That the debt they're trying to collect was Discharged in BK. They are violating the permanent injunction. If they care to pursue the issue, you'll be more than glad to accomodate them with a Law Suit according to Fair Debt Collection Practices.
