    Question regarding reconverting

I filed a chapt 7 back in 2000. I then had to file a chapter 13 in 2005 due to high medical bills. (thus my username "Alwaysmordrbils" lol) anyhow I converted to a chapter 7 a couple of weeks ago and was then notified by the US Trustee that it's not been 6 years, therefore I have to reconvert to a chapter 13. Yes, I knew about the 6 years, however I thought it was from the filing date of BK #1 to the conversion date on BK#2, and my old attorney was in agreement. ANYHOW... I'm taking my "reconvert" paperwork down to the courthouse tomorrow and was wondering what I can look forward to. Will I have to resubmit updated schedules, another 341 meeting? Schedules for the chapt 7 are due this Thursday and the 341 meeting is scheduled for 1/07/08. Since I'm having to reconvert, I don't think that I should turn in the updated schedules needed for the chapt 7. Any thoughts? I'm hoping that I can submit updated schedules though, as my son had managed to rack up more dr bills in the past 2 years that I still have 4500 to pay on!.

I did some research last night and in Michigan it looked like a reconversion was not possible. I hope your situation is different.

The US Trustee's letter stated that I could voluntarily request a dismissal or convert back to a chapter 13. So..with that I'm trusting that I can convert back to a 13. I guess I'll find out here soon.
