$40,000 debt $282 a month? Didn't expect so low

Boy, can I relate!

I dug a hole the same way and most can't understand. Keep thinking can hit it big and cure all problems. Would hit big, but then figured I was on a roll then give it back.

My unsecured debt is getting little to nothing too. Feel bad about it, but look at BK as a "tool" given to use to use only if absolutley necessary and not to be abused.

I had 25 years of money problems and now little to none. Learned a very important lesson here.

Best of luck staying straight. I still get the "itch". Will be difficult, but the BK trustee will "take no prisioners" if we stray.
And that is a good thing.

Didn't you learn your lesson about gambling? You go out and still do it?? wow!

I'm wondering if the "No Gambling," remark is enforced during a BK process moreso in states that have casinos? The state of Virginia doesn't really have any laws about gambling in Va., well at least thats what my lawyer said. I called him up a week before my 341 meeting and told him I hit a jackpot for $1500 and I told him I spent it on necessary items, groceries etc, he said, not a problem and no need to bring it up at the 341 meeting. Ahhh well, every case is different.
