converting from 13 to 7

well below medium for nj, small pension of 10k per year, bulk of income social security, no assets all debt unsecured, 73 years old, will it be difficult to convert to 7, already 21 months into a 36 month chapter 13 but due to medical expenses cant keep up payments

You need to ask your attorney why he had you in a chapter 13 in the first place. I would think with no extenuating circumstances you haven't stated in your post that you couldn't convert.
