    Ballpark figures for Bk payment

I'm just looking for more experienced people's opinion if I have this about right for a bk payment.

2 in household, married, just me filing:
    Necessities $1,393
    Utilities $302
    car transportation $260
    car ownership $478
    car insur $73
    health copay $100
    cell phone $80
    income taxes $2,648
    sub total $5,334
    mortgage $2,010
    tot expns $7,344
    income $8,203
    disposable income $859

    total priority/
    secured debt $27,520
    unsecured $29,000
    total debt $56,520

    $56,520 divided by $859 = roughly 65 1/2 months.

In the end its $859 to a trustee for 60 months.

Does this sound kosher? Am I missing something? I used the link http://www.legalconsumer.com/means-t...ator/index.php for the allowances.

Looks like you got it about right. Of course, if not everyone claims, then you might end up paying back either 100% or less than 60 months (or both).

keep in mind you also have attorneys fees (sometimes roled into the plan) and interest paid to the trustee.

Also, an attorney might be more familiar with your local acceptable $$ amounts for each expense which might be higher (or lower) than what you're showing.

What you have is a starting point though.
      Filed 07/07, $120k unsecured debt
Plan: $400 (includes cram down) 60 months
Brilliant attorney, decent trustee, awesome plan

thanks for the input. I just wanted to be sure I had the concept right. thanks isitreal for pointing out the trustee interest. I don't have to worry (a very rare don't have to worry) about attorney fees as I have an insurance plan that covers it.
