    Early pay-off

How long does it take for your lawyer to get a early pay-off amount? It's been over a week and he still hasn't called me back. What are the details for getting a early pay-off amount?
    Thanks

The early payout comes from the Trustee, and that can take a bit of time. Give your attorney another week, then start hounding him or her.

Oh okay, I thought in was just a matter of making a phone call. Gosh, fingers are crossed, hope I can get this done and over with without a problem. I want so much to move on.

Are there any PA filers that paid off early? Would like to know if any of you had any trouble from the trustee in paying off early?

            Hi all....

Haven't been on in a while. I am with the OLD LAW BK 13. I'd like to know when does your payment count start? My payment amount was changed 3 times, going up each time. I am on a 60 month plan. Sept 2004 was first payment made but when we were FINALLY confirmed which was a year later, I noticed that our first 2 payment weren't count towards our 60. Right now it states that we have 26 more to go but in reality we should have 24 to go as we made 36 payments already. The only thing I can think of is that they took the first 2 payments to make up for the payment inceases.

            Does this sound right?

Now also do I go by what my trustee says I have left or by how many payments I actually already made? I am so confused?

Has anyone in PA finished their BK, if so, how long did the closing take?

            Thanks,
            Pumpkin

                  early payoff

I am considerng an early payoff as well....from scrimping and saving and using a tax return check. I am in a 100% payback plan with 8 payments to go. One good thing about this ch 13 is that is has made me live way below my means and that has been good for me.
Keep in mind there were 500,000 filers during the month of Oct 2005 and that the audits and finalizations may take longer. Good luck to all of you !

Eastern District. I just checked the website that contains my information.
The commisssion to the trustee has always been listed at 7%. It is now listed at 10%.
All but one payment has been made on time. That one payment was 5 days late.
I suppose it can arbitrarily be changed?
