Quick ? on filing date

Our intent was to file by the end of Feb, which is tomorrow. Tuesday our attorney said he hoped to file by the end of the week...but...we have not heard from him since. In order to file he does need our signatures right? Or can he file without us? In order to file in February how long do we have, like can we file at 7PM and still be in February? I know this sounds silly, but the anxiety of filing is getting to me!

If you need to file tomorrow you will need to do an emergency filing; and in 15 days you can complete the rest of your schedules.

Do not wait for your attorney to call. If you file in March then all of February is calculated in your means test.

Thanks, as far as I know all of our schedules are complete. Didn't you have to sign something at the time of filing, or did the attorney just file the stuff?

Do you recall signing paperwork indicating you gave the attorney authorization to sign electronically on your behalf?

Nope, I'm possitive we didn't sign anything. It is not terribly important that we file this month, we were told we would file this month. It would be a pain to have to send info for another month and update everything tho.

We had to go in and sign the following:

Declaration for electronic filing of bankruptcy petition, lists, statements, and schedules.

Exhibit D
Disclossure of compensation of attorney for debtor fees
Means Test
Verification of ctreditor matrix
Notice to individual consumer debtor under the bankruptcy code

The remaining schedules will be filed tomorrow.
