retaining a lawyer and the 70/90 rule

Hi, we did a phone consultation with an attorney that we do want to go with. Withen 2 days of the consultation, he sent us a retainer form to sign along with his fees. He only wants 275 for court fees and 300 for him and then the rest gets put into the plan, which is great. The problem is ,we took out a 1500 cash advance on feb 22. Do i need to wait the 70 to 90 days to actually retain him or is it 70/90 before actually filing? Thank you

You may retain an attorney at any time. The 70/90 day rule just deals with the timing of cc use. However, be careful of cc usage after consulting or retaining a lawyer. If anyone does raise an objection, that will surely be a question you'll be asked.
