    Just filed my Chapter 13. Glad to know my house is safe and I'm on the way to a better financial future (fingers crossed!)

    Thanks to all the BKForum members for sharing their experiences and answering questions. 95% of what has happened with my filing experience I had already read about and was ready for and that was a HUGE advantage. My lawyer actually commented on how easy I have made this for him (let's see if he feels that way the rest of the 5 years! )

    May 2008: Filed Chapter 13
    Jan 2010: Plan Amended and Confirmed! finally plan funds = total funds due!
    Jul 2013: 5 years done! Trustee set to discharge! Woo hoooo!

      We are filing in the near future... still shopping for the right lawyer. I am so scared, especially that we will be including our second mortgage. I just can't believe that I won't lose my house for that. Our house is worth less than my 1st mortgage balance. I never thought I would be glad the market is way down.

      I love this forum too... it's a wealth of information and support.
