collections question

I received a letter saying that my account is on scedule to go to a 3rd party collection agency. How long at that point do i have before they begin to sue me. We are just trying to wait until Aug.1st to retain our attorney. Thanks alot !!!

Heck, they may never sue you. A lawsuit is an expensive way to collect. You'll get a lot of calls and letters before a decision is made to sue/not sue.
