Has anyone in Georgia financed a used vehicle while still in their 13? I have been told by a dealer that it's impossible and that it can't be done until after you have been discharged.

I did it back in the mid 90's. I think it's still possible.You have to check around, credit is harder to get now. -

It is very very difficult, but not impossible. We have done it twice now in our open Chapter 13.
Talk with your attorney. He/she may be able to provide you with the names of lenders who will do so. As this requires trustee/court approval, your attorney has probably had experience with this in the past, and can suggest lenders who might work with you.

I spoke to our attorney and she doesn't have any referrals although she stated that maybe that's something she will start doing.Comment

Must be she has never had a 13 client do financing in the middle of a plan.
Check w/your trustee's office. Also, check your local BK court rules.
