Called atty and they said if I get the check I can spend it how I want. If that means paying back uncle so be it. She said if they are going to intercept it they will send a letter telling you such. If they actually send it to you then they don't want it. Apparantly in my state it is not common to take tax refunds, rebates etc. I called IRS hotline and plugged in my social, number of exemptions and they said my check would go out tomorrow as scheduled. My atty actually said that was the reason we were going to file 13 and not 7 was so we still had control of our case. We have a lawsuit pending and have agreed that if there is any money involved it would go toward our plan. But this would keep them from dismissing our case and paying back 100% (in the event it was a large sum of money) unless we wanted to do that. Thanks for all the info guys. That is what we are all hear for right? To share info and learn from each other.

Sorry hun. Keep your chin up it will work out. I never thought I would be here as I am sure no one else did either. This is hard there is no doubt. I am scared to do anything. I feel like they are watching us to see how many time we flush the toilet daily. I am in no way trying to do anything dishonest but now I question what they will "think" I am trying to do at every turn. Calgon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Originally posted by AngelinaCat View PostI am so glad that this has worked out for you. We wanted to file 13 also and not 7, but when I lost my FT job, we had no choice.
Good luck to you!!!

Confused on this SCU, did the attorney say "if that means paying back uncle so be it." Or is that just your thought?
